Congregation Meeting:

  • Next Sunday at 6pm. Bring Cookies and sandwiches to share.

April Memory Verse:

  • "I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies." John 11:25

Membership Class:

  • Will begin on Sunday, April 15th at 9:30am in the Choir Loft.

Lunch with the 3 Stooges:

  • Bring your lunch and topics. Monday, April 9 at the Lighthouse Center. From noon to 1pm.

Read the Bible in a Year:

  • 3 Chapters a day and 5 Chapters on Sunday.

Senior Adult Walk:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00am


  • Adult Study "Leadership in the Church", Women's Class "Key Promises of God", Financial Peace, Choir, Youth Group, AWANA, Nursery available.

Leadership in the Church:

  • Leadership = Influence: Being a person of influence - what hinders us from this? Wednesday at 7pm.

Women's Ministries:

  • Ladies Prayer Time: Monday Mornings at 9:30am
  • Women's Bible Study: Friday Mornings at 9:30am

Virtuous Women:

  • Tuesday night at 5:30pm in the Quads. "The Story: Finding Your Story in God's Story". All women welcome.

Financial Peace University:

  • Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. Brian Peterson will be leading the class. Call the Church office if you have questions.

Senior Men's Coffee:

  • Thursday at 3pm

CE, Diaconate, Trustees Meetings:

  • Thursday at 6:30pm

3rd - 5th Grade Boys:

  • Picnic and Kickball at Harmon Park on Sunday, April 15th from 12:30-2:30.

Preschool Fundraiser:

  • 1st Baptist Preschool will be selling Tupperware and plants from Janet's Jungle. See display in the Narthex for items to order and catalogs of plants. Taking orders thru Easter. Thank you for your support.

Baby Showers:

  • Ladies, you are invited to a baby shower for Samantha Knaub. Sunday, April 22nd at 2pm.

Bridal Shower:

  • Ladies, you are invited to a Bridal Shower for Samantha Stutzman, Fiancee of Nolan Holloway. Sunday, April 15th at 2pm in the Quad Rooms.

Come and Help Us Celebrate:

  • Come and help us celebrate Pastor Stan and Pam Murdoch's 25th Anniversary of dedicated service and faithfulness to First Baptist Church on Sunday, April 22nd from 3-5pm at the church.

Shawl Ministry:

  • Join us as we reorganize Shawl Ministry to a quarterly format with brunch at our gatherings! If you have thought about joining us please come on April 21st at 9am in the Quad Rooms.

Easter Cantata DVD:

  •   2012 Cantata DVD is available for $10. Please mark registration sheet or contact the church office at 234-2311.

Youth Mission Team Fundraiser:

  • Ready for Spring Cleaning??? The Youth Mission Team needs your unwanted "stuff" for their fundraiser GARAGE SALE - Saturday, April 28th. Please consider donating anything big or small. Watch in the coming weeks for more details.

Volunteers Needed:

  • Have a free day? Please spend it at Moses Merrill Camp and Conference Center. There is a job for everyone. You don't have to be a professional, just willing to work. Contact Eric Byrd at 402-666-5639.

Courageous Covenant:

  • If you have seen the movie "Courageous" and would like to be a part of signing a covenant, please call Pastor Stan or the church office.

Preschool Enrollment for 2012-13

  • The Sessions are: 4-5 year olds MWF 12:30-3pm, 3-4 year olds TTH 9am-11am & 12-2pm. Registration forms can be picked up at the info desk and dropped off in the office. You may register at any time, but get your form in soon for the session of your choice, as they will fill up fast. $40 registration fee is due with the registration form. First Baptist Cares:

  • Please join us to encourage others in our church family and enjoy some fun fellowship. We meet in the Library, Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.
  • First Baptist Cares is seeking Military addresses of your loved ones. They can be state side or overseas. We also want e-mail addresses if you have them. We would like to encourage those who bravely serve our country. Thanks!!!

Promise Keepers:

  • Monday Night Promise Keepers: First and Third Mondays. Call Monte Krueger at 236-9217 for info.
  • Tuesday Night Promise Keepers: First and Third Tuesdays at 7:30pm at Rob Gwin's home. Call Rob at 234-1563 for more info.
  • Friday Promise Keepers meets at the church at 11:30am in the Saints Alive Room. Bring a sack lunch. Call Bill @ 308-440-1030 or Bob @ 308-893-9217.

Christian Counseling:

  • First Baptist Counselor, Angie McDermott, holds a Master's degree in Counseling and is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner.  She has been with the Church since January of 1997. You can set up an appointment with Angie by calling (308) 293-2220

Roger Williams Fellowship:

  • Mondays at 5:30pm - RWF Meal and Devotion.

Sunday School Hour:

  • Agape Sunday School Class: "God's Solutions for Today's Problems" led by Leroy Giffin.
  • Young Adults Sunday School Class: We meet downstairs in the old youth room.
  • Partners With Christ Class: "Why We Do What We Do: A Biblical Perspective on Christian Traditions". Led by Bob Talbitzer.
  • Faith Builders Fellowship Group: Faith Builders will begin a twelve week study of the book "The Twelve Pillars" by Jim Rohn.
  • Truth Seekers: NE Quad Room - "Living on the Edge" a Romans 12 Study.
  • Hope Class: Dr. David Jeremiah presents "Slaying the Giants in Your Life" a DVD series. Presentation begins on March 18th. "Giants" include Fear, Discouragement, Loneliness, Worry, Guilt, Temptation, Anger, Resentment, Doubts, Procrastination, Failure, and Jealousy.
  • Pathfinders 2 is a new Sunday School Class for family oriented couples and singles in their 30's - 50's. The Class will feature single topic, open discussions of current events and Christian applications. We meet downstairs in the old Youth Room.
  • Seeing Yourself as God Sees You: We meet downstairs in the old Youth Room next to the Young Adults.
  • Friends Class: Beginning Sunday, March 4th, the Friends Sunday School class will devote the months of March, April, and May to study Becoming Good Disciples. Please join us.
